The Coalition for Hispanic/Latino Issues & Progress (CHIP) seeks to promote self-sufficiency, cooperation and unity within the Hispanic/Latino community and promote participation in the greater community, to ensure access to available resources, and to increase involvement in the decision making process, thereby improving the quality of life for the Hispanic/Latino community.
The organization’s activities are designed to further its mission and level the playing field in various arenas for members of the Hispanic/Latino community. These activities range from our Annual Hispanic Leadership Conference which addresses major issues negatively impacting the Hispanic/Latino community; televised Candidate Forums designed to familiarize the Hispanic/Latino
community with candidates running for public office; Festivals which promote Hispanic/Latino culture and community involvement; Voter registration drives; Advocacy for Hispanic/Latino and Community issues and against individual and group discrimination.
