CHIP Leadership Conference to Focus on Mental Health

For its 24th year, the Coalition for Hispanic/Latino Issues and Progress (CHIP)’s annual Hispanic Leadership Conference will take a focus on mental health and illness in an effort to combat stigma and start conversations. Alisha Pardon, co-director of the Leadership Conference alongside Carmen Leibas, said determining each year’s theme depends on current events and issues.

The theme of the Leadership Conference is “Awakening to Reality.”
Registration will start at 7:30 a.m., April 27, at the Spitzer Conference Center at Lorain County Community College, 1005 N. Abbe Road in Elyria.

Dress for the conference is casual.
